Status
The Collaboration Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit in the
state of California in 2006. We currently operate under the non-profit
fiscal sponsorship of Filmmakers
Alliance while we apply for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Generous
legal services are being provided courtesy of McDermitt,
Will, & Emery. Donations to The 1 Second Film can be made
tax-deductible in the US. Please read our FAQ
for specific details about making a tax-deductible donation. |

Ben
Goldhirsh
Ben Goldhirsh is the CEO of Reason Pictures and GOOD Magazine. He
is currently producing several projects aimed at using media to
create social change. Mr. Goldhirsh also serves on the Board of
Directors for the Millenium Promise and the Goldhirsh Foundation. |

Albert
Maysles
Albert Maysles career as a documentary filmmaker spans nearly 50
years. Mr. Maysles has been responsible for such influential cinema
verité documentaries as GREY GARDENS, GIMME SHELTER, and
SALESMAN. Mr. Maysles is currently completing several documentaries,
including his 26-year work-in-progress chronicling the completion
of Christo and Jeanne-Claude's THE GATES. |

Nirvan
Mullick
Nirvan Mullick is an award winning filmmaker and burgeoning social-entrepreneur
interested in using collaborative art to create social change. Nirvan
conceived of The 1 Second Film while studying experimental animation
at California Institute of the Arts, and currently works full-time
directing the film. |

Stephen
Nemeth
Stephen Nemeth heads Rhino Films and has produced several critically-acclaimed
major motion-pictures, including: FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS,
IVANS XTC, and DOGTOWN Z-BOYS. Mr. Nemeth is currently producing
several documentary and feature film projects, including ‘FIELDS
OF FUEL,’ detailing the history of Biodiesel. |

Taymor
Julie Taymor is a critically acclaimed director on Broadway and
in film. She received two Tony Awards for her direction of THE LION
KING on Broadway, and in film has directed TITUS and FRIDA, which
won two Academy Awards. She is currently directing a feature-length
Beatles musical for Revolution Studios. |
